The physical detoxification process will be unique for each person, and some people may need to do a pre-detox before they do their Ibogaine de-tox.
Pre-detoxing is done using herbs and natural supplements to either reduce an opiate dosage for the time period prior to an Ibogaine flood, or to refrain from using Methadone or Suboxone for the required amount of time (typically several weeks) before their Ibogaine detox.
Pre-detoxing can be done to reduce opiate dosages for the time period prior to the Ibogaine detox. Many people prefer detoxing with Ibogaine from as low an opiate dose as possible so that it is a gentler transition for the body.
Pre-detoxing for this purpose is done using herbs and supplements in conjunction with opiates to taper comfortably.
Methadone and Suboxone
When using Ibogaine to detox from these substances, you must abstain from methadone for a minimum of two weeks and suboxone a minimum of three weeks prior to ingesting Ibogaine.
Typically people will use short acting opiates to prevent withdrawals during this time, but for those who do not wish to take opiates as part of the detox process, they can use a regimen of herbs and supplements to prevent withdrawal symptoms.
Post Detox Support
